Life is Good in Lawrence Kansas!!!

Don "Red Dog" Gardner and Jim O'Connell started Red Dog's Dog Days in 1984 as a fitness program for the Lawrence High School football team. Since then, Red Dog has transformed Dog Days into a community workout for all ages. With the assistance of his wife, Beverly, and several other helpers, the program continues to flourish. Over one thousand people participate and that number keeps growing. Local high school teams are certainly encouraged to participate. Teams such as Lawrence High volleyball and Free State football are regulars at Dog Days. It's free and anyone is encouraged to attend and perform the workout at their own pace. Just show up, check in and you're ready to go.
